Shocking Image Shows Over 600 Afghans Packed In US Cargo Plane Escaping Taliban Rule


<p><strong>New Delhi:</strong> As the Taliban took over Afghanistan, many civilians fearing their lives are trying to escape the country. Among the tragic visuals that are coming in every hour, an image has gone viral in which over 600 civilians were seen sitting packed in a US cargo plane.&nbsp;</p> <p>The image shared by Defense One is telling of the fear that has taken over the people of Afghanistan who left their homes with little to no belongings.</p> <p><strong>ALSO READ: <span style="color: #e03e2d;"><a style="color: #e03e2d;" href="https://ift.tt/3m7FI9B Abandoned People Of Afghanistan, Our Ally Will Continue: Indian Ambassador After Safe Return</a></span></strong></p> <p>The photo is from the U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III which evacuated 640 Afghans late Sunday, the Defense One report said. Though the plane wasn't intended to evacuate Afghan refugees, they climbed up the half-open ramp into the C-17. Instead of trying to make the refugees leave the U.S. Army decided to leave with them.&nbsp;</p> <p>This aircraft flew to Qatar, where the Afghans disembarked, the website reported.</p> <p>In the image, itself men, women children can be seen sitting on the floor of the plane from end to end. In another video hundreds of Afghans jostling to climb into possibly the same aircraft to fly out of the country.</p> <p>The Taliban, which has seized control of Afghan capital Kabul, on Tuesday declared an &ldquo;amnesty&rdquo; across the country and urged the women to join its government. The women were earlier, during the Taliban rule from 1996-2001, barred from attending school or working outside the home. Besides, they had to wear the all-encompassing burqa and be accompanied by a male relative whenever they went outside.</p>
