<p><strong>New Delhi: </strong>The Taliban, which has seized control of Afghan capital Kabul, on Tuesday declared an “amnesty” across the country and urged the women to join its government.</p> <p>Enamullah Samangani, a member of the Taliban’s cultural commission, said the “Islamic Emirate doesn’t want women to be victims”, adding “they should be in government structure according to Shariah law”, The Associated Press reported.</p> <p>“The structure of government is not fully clear, but based on experience, there should be a fully Islamic leadership and all sides should join,” Samangani said.</p> <p>This comes as tens of thousands of people have tried to flee Afghanistan to escape the hardline Islamist rule expected under the Taliban.</p> <p>The women were earlier, during the Taliban rule from 1996-2001, barred from attending school or working outside the home. Besides, they had to wear the all-encompassing burqa and be accompanied by a male relative whenever they went outside.</p> <p>Meanwhile, Stefano Pontecorvo, North Atlantic Treaty Organisation’s senior civilian representative to Afghanistan, on Tuesday posted a video online, showing the runway empty with American troops on the tarmac at Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul.</p> <p><strong>READ:</strong> <strong><a href="https://ift.tt/3soNfBM Alleges India Did Not Allow Pakistan To Speak On Afghanistan Crisis</a></strong></p> <p>“Another day in #Kabul HKIA airport.
