
<p><strong>New Delhi: </strong>Twin blasts are reported in the Afghanistan capital Kabul on Tuesday afternoon. As per AFP, a blast occurred outside a military hospital followed by gunfire. Later on, in the same vicinity, another explosion was heard.</p> <p>So far, at least 19 people have been reported dead, around 50 have been injured in Afghanistan's biggest military hospital in Kabul.</p> <p>[tw]https://twitter.com/AFP/status/1455486107798458368[/tw]</p> <p>The explosions took place outside the 400-bed capacity Sardar Mohammad Daud Khan hospital in central Kabul, Interior Ministry spokesman Qari Saeed Khosty told news agency Reuters adding that security forces had been sent to the area. </p> <p>Soon after the incident, some photographs were shared by residents on social media which showed a plume of smoke over the area of the blasts near the former diplomatic zone in the Wazir Akbar Khan area of the city and witnesses said at least two helicopters were flying over the area.</p> <p>Till now, no one has claimed responsibility for the attacks.</p> <p>A health worker at the hospital, who managed to escape, told Reuters that he heard a large explosion followed by a couple of minutes of gunfire.</p>
