Former US President Trump To Launch "TRUTH Social" Next Month After Being Banned By All Social Media Sites


<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>New Delhi:</strong> Former US President Donald Trump has announced on Wednesday that he will be launching his own social media platform "TRUTH Social". The bets launch of the platform is expected to be next month, which will only be for invited guests.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">"I created TRUTH Social and TMTG to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech," Trump, who was banned from Twitter and Facebook in the wake of the Capitol insurrection carried out by his supporters on January 6 this year, was quoted as saying in the statement according to AFP.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>ALSO READ: <span style="color: #e03e2d;"><a style="color: #e03e2d;" href="https://ift.tt/3G9dtir Is What Anand Mahindra Said On Elon Musk Crossing $230 Bn In Net Worth</a></span></strong></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">The platform will be owned and by Trump Media &amp; Technology Group (TMTG), which also intends to launch a subscription video-on-demand service that will feature "non-woke" entertainment programming, the group said in a statement.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">"We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favourite American President has been silenced. This is unacceptable," he said further according to AFP.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Since he was banned from social media platforms after the January 6 Capitol attack Trump has been looking for ways to reclaim his internet platform.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">In May this year, he launched a blog called &lsquo;From the Desk of Donald J. Trump&rsquo; but he cancelled it in just a month after facing issues with social media sites Twitter which saw @DJTDesk a violation of its evasion policy. But Trump, who was also banned from Instagram, YouTube and Snapchat in the wake of the Capitol mayhem, cancelled the blog just a month later.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <div id="jiosaavn-widget" style="text-align: justify;">The former US president has been facing a ban on social media sites due to his link with the QAnon group who had been largely responsible for the Capitol attack.</div>
