Ex Australian Cricketer Michael Slater Arrested On Domestic Violence Charges: Report

<p><strong>New Delhi: </strong>After a domestic violence incident, former Australia cricketer Michael Slater has been arrested on Wednesday in Sydney as per Reuters.</p> <p>New South Wales (NSW) police have said that they began an investigation on Michael Slater on Tuesday after a report alleging domestic violence was filed against him last week.</p> <p>According to the Reuters report, former cricketer's manager Sean Anderson has declined to share any comments regarding the report.</p> <p>&ldquo;Following inquiries, detectives attended a home at Manly about 9:20 a.m. and spoke with a 51-year-old man. He has since been arrested and taken to Manly police station,&rdquo; NSW Police was quoted by Reuters in its report.</p> <p>Michael Slater in his career played 74 tests from 1993-2001 and 42 one-day internationals. After his journey on fields, Slater became a fixture on Australian TV as a cricket commentator for 15 long years.</p> <p>Earlier last month, Slater after his tirade with Prime Minister Scott Morrison for putting a ban on returnees from India, as the country was battling the covid-19 outbreak, was dumped from the Seven Network&rsquo;s cricket commentary team.</p> <p>"I<span class="css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0">f our Government cared for the safety of Aussies they would allow us to get home.
