Afghan Crisis: Anger Grows Against Taliban Govt, 2 Fighters Killed In Jalalabad Attack


<p><strong>Kabul: </strong>The anger and frustration against the new Taliban regime in Afghanistan is increasing day by day.</p> <p>The Taliban soldiers are being attacked more frequently in protest against the government.</p> <p><strong>READ</strong>: <strong><a href="https://ift.tt/2XyCLod, Russia, Pakistan Envoys Hold Talks With Taliban Officials, Former Prez Karzai In Kabul</a></strong></p> <p>At least two Talibani soldiers were killed in the attack on their car in the provincial capital Jalalabad on Wednesday.</p> <p>This is the latest attack since the Taliban seized control of Kabul.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>The attackers began firing on the Taliban fighters&rsquo; car near the local gas station in Jalalabad, said an eyewitness. At least two Talibani fighters and a gas attendant were killed in the incident.</p> <p>&ldquo;I was filling up the gas tank of my bike when suddenly two attackers leaped out of a rickshaw and started firing,&rdquo; said another eyewitness Ezatullah.</p> <p>&ldquo;The pump attendant lost his life while the pump too was badly damaged. Two Talibani Mujahideen and one pump attendant were killed in the attack,&rdquo; he added.</p> <p>Another eyewitness Naveen Hassanzai, whose house was damaged in the attack, said three people were injured in the attack.</p> <p>&ldquo;The damaged house belongs to me. I heard two explosions at around 11 a.m. I think three people were injured. The people are trying to claim asylum in other countries.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>The Taliban seized power in mid-August ahead of the withdrawal of the U.S. and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) troops.</p>
