'Beliefs Same As It Was In 1990s, But Perspective Different': Taliban After Afghanistan Takeover


<p><strong>Kabul: </strong>Amid concerns in Afghanistan post the toppling of the government led by President Ashraf Ghani, the Taliban has said their ideology and beliefs are the same as it was in the 1990s but the perspective is different.</p> <p>Responding to a question about differences between the 1990s Taliban and today&rsquo;s, Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said the ideology and beliefs are the same because they are Muslims, but there is a change in terms of experience.</p> <p>The Taliban spokesperson, who was addressing the reporters in Kabul, added they are more experienced and have a different perspective.&nbsp;</p> <p>Mujahid said they do not have enmity toward anyone and added they have pardoned everyone based on their leader's orders.</p> <p><strong>READ</strong>: <strong><a href="https://ift.tt/3k2DxkX For Women Based On Islam, Advisory For Media: Taliban's First Presser After Kabul Seizure</a></strong></p> <p>The Taliban spokesperson said they will soon reach a settlement through which an Islamic government will be established in the country.</p> <p>He said Kabul&rsquo;s security is improving day by day as their forces have been stationed in various places.</p> <p>Mujahid said the security of foreign embassies is important to them and they pledge that the embassies will be completely safe.</p> <p>The Taliban spokesperson said the Islamic emirate is pledging to all world countries that no threat will be posed to any country from Afghanistan, Tolonews reported.</p> <p>Mujahid said the Afghans have the right to apply rules that match the people's values and added the other countries should, therefore, respect these rules.</p> <p>Stating the Taliban is committed to providing women their rights based on Islam, Mujahid said there will be no discrimination against women.</p> <p>He added the women can work in the health sector and other sectors where they are needed.</p> <p>Mujahid further said there will be an improvement in the country's economy and in the people's livelihoods.</p> <p>Stating the Taliban wants all media outlets to continue their activities, Mujahid said they have three suggestions: no broadcast should contradict Islamic values, they should be impartial and no one should broadcast anything that goes against our national interests.</p> <p>The Taliban spokesperson said they have pardoned everyone and will not take revenge against anyone, including former military members and those who worked with the foreign forces.</p> <p>"No one will search their house,&rdquo; he said.</p> <p>Mujahid said that damage to the people and families occurred during the war accidentally and was not intentional and occurred in an uncontrolled situation.</p> <p>He added it is unfortunate if it happened.</p> <p>Mujahid said the situation in Kabul city will soon be back to normal.</p> <p>"We want to establish a government that includes all sides,&rdquo; he said, adding that they want an end to the war.</p>
